Nicholas Hoult Leaves Mission: Impossible - Dead Economy For The Sake Of This Project

JAKARTA - Nicholas Hoult may make the decisions many actors dream of, namely choosing not to work with Tom Cruise. Through his latest interview, he admitted that he had rejected many major projects, including Top Gun and Mission Impossible.

Hoult explained that initially he was asked to be a villain in Mission: Impossible - Deadeckoning Part One in January 2020, but he left production because he wanted to finish filming the series.

The Great series produced by Hulu is entering its third season so that he is committed to completing the production of the series.

"I got a call from Tom Cruise: 'Hey what about Mission Impossible? Okay. But I opted out because I was already involved with The Great," Nicholas Hoult told The Guardian.

That's not the first time Nicholas Hoult has almost been involved with Tom Cruise. Previously he also participated in the audition process for the film Top Gun: Maverick.

"I took the Batman screen test and didn't get the role. Tests for Top Gun, can't," said Hoult.

Nicholas Hoult then chose several film projects after choosing a serial project. He joined Robert Eggers' film Nosferatu as well as Renfield's film.

The actor also felt happy to meet Nicolas Cage. The two of them played a role in the 2005 film The Weather Man.

"I feel intimidated but feel comfortable and safe with Nick. On the other hand, I'm eating corndog for the first time. It's in a big scene I want. But yes, working with him, as an adult, I appreciate his work," said Nicholas Hoult.

Nicholas Hoult as Renfield is said to feel tired of working as a Dracula. He could no longer follow the request of his father, Dracula (Nicolas Cage). Renfield seemed to be controlled and always followed orders that made him tired.

Renfield will hit theaters this year.
