His Tweets Considered Disrespectful To Eddie Van Halen, David Crosby Apologized After Being Sprayed By Rock Musicians

JAKARTA - Veteran folk musician David Crosby has been criticized by a number of musicians and rock fans after calling Eddie Van Halen 'meh'. Now he apologizes and says he does not remember that the virtuoso guitarist who was a role model of a million people has just died.

Ultimate Guitar reported, Tuesday, October 13, recently a fan asked, "What do you think about Eddie Van Halen," then he replied: "Meh ..."

After another fan chimed in, "Yeah, that guy (Eddie) just CHANGES THE GUITAR WORLD. Jeez Dave," the musician added:

"Hendrix changed the world of guitar. Nobody else really did that ... look, I see ... a lot of you love Van Halen ... and once I met him (Eddie) was kind ... and he's talented. ...

"Meh to me means I don't really care ... not that he's not great, he's great but not for me."

Guns N 'Roses co-founder Tracii Guns wrote the following response:

"To hell with this guy. To hell with this answer and most importantly, to fuck this guy. I don't care what anyone else says. That's David's crap."

Tracii added that she was "disappointed" that she liked Crosby, Still, Nash, and Young.

Twisted Sister vocalist Dee Snider replied to Guns' post, saying:

"Agreed. Even so, I've always hated David Crosby AND his mustache. #JustSayin"

One follower later wrote to David:

"I can show you how he can answer WITHOUT being a jerk:

"'I don't care about the final product (that Eddie made), it's not my style . But there's absolutely nothing to question about his (Eddie's) talent and the revolution he's brought throughout the industry.'

"Feeling expressed and still respectful, understand?"

David responded by simply saying: "(It was) better."

Yet in another tweet, David wrote:

"Yes you Van Halen fans, I just gave an uncool answer ... the more embarrassing truth is ... I don't even remember he just died or I would shut up .... I didn't make a mistake ... no meant to offend.

yes you Van Halen fans I did just toss off an answer that was not cool ... the even more embarrassing truth is .. I didn't even remember he had just died or I would have kept my mouth shut .... I do make mistakes ... no offense intended
