BPK RI Calls The Official Travel Fee Of 5 KPU In West Papua Not In Accordance With Conditions
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found official travel in five General Election Commissions (KPU) in West Papua Province that did not comply with the standard input costs which resulted in overpayments.
The five KPUs are KPU Manokwari Regency, KPU South Manokwari Regency, KPU Teluk Bintuni Regency, KPU Fakfak Regency, and KPU Kaimana Regency.
"The official travel costs of the five KPUs are not in accordance with the actual conditions," said Head of BPK West Papua Representative Ahmad Luthfi H Rahmatullah during the submission of the report on the results of the examination on compliance with the 2024 election financial management in Manokwari, Monday, December 16, which was confiscated by Antara.
In addition, he continued, there were a number of findings, including the procurement of audit services for campaign fund reports carried out by the West Papua Provincial KPU that did not comply with the provisions, causing overpayments.
Another finding is that spending on logistics distribution services for the 2024 General Election by the Fakfak Regency KPU cannot be accounted for, including reports that the accountability for goods expenditure is not accompanied by complete evidence.
"So the realization of goods expenditure at the Fakfak KPU is not believed to have happened," said Ahmad.
He said that the examination with a certain purpose (PDTT) in the form of checking compliance with financial management aims to assess the main things in accordance with statutory provisions.
All examination mechanisms for compliance with financial management for the 2024 General Election are carried out according to state financial audit standards set by BPK RI.
"So, all the findings submitted in the report document on the results of the examination, there are things that need serious attention," said Ahmad.

"Since the report on the results of the examination is received, no later than 60 days, it must be followed up and reported to the BPK," said Ahmad.
