DKI Provincial Government Sets Jakarta Sectoral Minimum Wage 2025, Here Are The Details
Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency, Hari Nugroho, said that this decision was taken based on the recommendations of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Wage Council. UMSP DKI Jakarta for 2025 refers to the classification of Indonesian business fields (KBLI), covering three sectors and 18 sub-sectors, ranging from the manufacturing industry to financial services.
"The amount of the value of the DKI Jakarta UMSP in 2025 has been agreed upon based on existing sectors and sub-sectors, covering various business fields from the manufacturing industry to the financial services sector," said Hari Nugroho, Monday, December 16.
Hari also added that this minimum wage increase aims to maintain workers' purchasing power and increase business competitiveness in Jakarta.
"It is hoped that with this agreed amount, it can be accepted by all parties and supports the realization of Jakarta as a global city," added Hari.
In addition, Hari reminded that entrepreneurs are obliged to develop a wage structure and scale for companies as a guideline for workers with a working period of one year or more. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will supervise this and impose sanctions on entrepreneurs who do not comply with these obligations.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in 2025 has also been set to increase by 6.5 percent compared to 2024, which is to Rp5,396,761. Jakarta's highest UMSP has a difference of around Rp135,000 from the 2025 UMP.
