JAKARTA - The incident occurred at the end of the England U-17 vs Uzbekistan U-17 match in the last 16 of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

In the match which took place at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Wednesday, November 22, 2023 afternoon, Uzbekistan U-17 appeared surprising by qualifying for the quarter-finals after winning 2-1.
Before the game ended, Uzbekistan U-17 coach Jamiliddin Rakhmatullaev was involved in friction with Ryan Garry's team. This moment occurred when the match had entered the second half of injury time.
At that time, The Young Lions were trying to build an attack. However, his emotions were provoked when the ball that left the field was kicked by Jamiliddin Rakhmatullaev who was standing in front of the bench.
Seeing the hot situation, Jayden Meghama immediately confronted the action by approaching the opposing tactician to the sidelines. Another England U-17 player immediately followed in his partner's footsteps.

England U-17 coach Ryan Garry spoke about the situation after the game was over. He admitted that he did not really witness the incident, but was worried about the condition of the players.
"I don't really see (it happened). I think it's because there are two teams that are really desperate to win. I'm not sure about the referee's decision, but it's not my right to comment," Garry said when met by the media crew at the mixed zone.
"I didn't clearly see (the incident). However, I just felt worried about the condition of the players (at that time) which we were still trying to continue the game. If I'm not mistaken, there are still two more minutes left (when the incident occurred). So, I only focused on those two minutes, "he added.
