Finally, The First Neue Classe-Based BMW Car Is Tested For Production In 2025
JAKARTA - BMW started a new leaf in the realm of electrification after presenting Vision Neue Classe, a new architecture developed by manufacturers for several future EV models. It seems that the model base will soon appear on the market.
Reporting from Motor1, Tuesday, November 21, Neue Classe was caught on surveillance cameras being tested in the form of a prototype in Germany. The EV is believed to have the same size as the current X3 or will be a replacement for the iX3 model.
The car, known as the NA5 Project, has a longer overhang, resulting in greater storage space on the back seat with a more spacious cabin area.
Even though it is covered by a camouflage pattern, the face of this vehicle still looks quite clear. The SUV features a front facility that is approximately the same as the one exhibited earlier, but is more compact. This car features a unique design with a flat door handle with a radical rear glass panel.
Unfortunately, the powertrain section has yet to be disclosed. However, it is estimated that the production version will use a rear wheel drive and an all-wheel drive with several choices of battery packages varying to more than 500 km in a single charge.
The manufacturer plans to start production of Vision Neue Classe in 2025 at a BMW-owned factory in Debrecen, Hungary, and release it to the market in 2026.
