Eric Badminton's 'The Pool' Becomes One Of The Most Expensive Guitars In Auction
JAKARTA - One of Ericxik's iconic guitars called The Pool is one of the most expensive guitars ever auctioned.
On Thursday, November 16, the musician's Gibson SG psychedelic, specially painted in 1964, sold for $1.27 million at Julien's Auctions.
The six-string instrument was sold as part of a three-day Played, Worn and Torn: Rock N 'Roll Iconic Guitars and Memoranobilia' music auction at Hard Rock Café in Nashville.
According to Guitar World, the guitar is SG '64 which was played byLAy when he and his Cream bandmates made their second album, DiIsraeli Spears.

The guitar is painted by a Dutch artistic collective whose name is SG. This is an influential symbol of the psychedelic era as well as a symbol of the Summer of Love in 1967.
According to Planet Rock,men presented the guitar to George Harrison after Cream was disbanded. Harrison then passed it on to Jackie Lomax.
The guitar was also owned by Todd Rundgren in the 70s and 80s which gave him the nickname "Sunny" after Cream song Sunshine of Your Love, until he sold it in an auction in 2000.
