Accompanying 30 IKM Through Gernas BBI In Bengkulu, The Ministry Of Industry Reveals Its Goal
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) accompanied 30 small and medium industry players (IKM) Bengkulu to advance to class through the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI).
This year, the Ministry of Industry together with Bank Indonesia synergize with the Bengkulu Provincial Government to become a Campaign Manager in the implementation of the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement and Proud to Travel in Indonesia (BBI/BBWI) in Bengkulu Province, which has reached the peak of a harvesting event with the title #BencoolenFest2023, on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
"Gernas BBI is a strategic step to raise the potential of IKM and local Bengkulu artists so that it can expand market access," said Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, November 20.
The Ministry of Industry has consistently encouraged 30 selected IKM players to develop their business through assistance in mastering e-business technology through the IKM e-Smart Program, on-boarding into the LKPP e-catalog, as well as education and business consultations.
Then, through digital literacy, webinars, IKM brand registration, facilitation of Domestic Component Level certification (TKDN) for small industries, packaging design and print, as well as publications and promotions on social media.
Through mentoring activities from the kick off of BBI/BBWI Bengkulu 2023 in July to investing in November, five IKM Champions with performance, as well as improving the quality and best business capacity.

A total of five IKM Champions are IKMs that have increased turnover through online and offline markets, as well as IKMs that have discipline during mentoring.
The five IKMs are Matahari Handycraft, Geomax Coffee Industry, CV Anugerah Alam Indonesia, Putri Bengkulu and, Oase Gallery. The five IKM from Bengkulu have received awards and are entitled to be included in the National BBI Award.
"The five Champion IKMs develop creativity in lifting the diversity of Bengkulu products, consisting of natural stone crafts, seeds and coffee powder, herbal and herbal medicine, kalamansi dumplings, and Bengkulu Besurek batik," he said.
