Sigra Is Still The Most Interested Daihatsu Car In Indonesia
JAKARTA - Daihatsu again recorded positive results in its retail sales in the Indonesian market. In October 2023, the manufacturer managed to achieve sales of more than 164 thousand units, an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
With this achievement, Daihatsu also contributed significantly to the automotive market share in Indonesia, which reached 19.9 percent or an increase of 0.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
"We are grateful to see the positive public acceptance of Daihatsu until October 2023, which is reflected in sales reaching 164 thousand units, an increase of 4.4% compared to 2022," said Tri Mulyono, Marketing & Customer Relations Division Head of PT Astra International Daihatsu Sales Operation, in a statement received by VOI, Monday, November 13.

In detail, the retail sales of the Daihatsu model are still dominated by Sigra, reaching 53,189 units or contributing around 32.4 percent. Followed by GranMax Pick-Up with 36,082 units or contributing 22 percent, and Terios which completes the top three with 21,385 units or 13 percent of total sales.
The top three models were followed by several other series, including Ayla with 19,092 units (11 percent), Xenia 15,622 units (9.5 percent), GranMax Minibus 10,535 units (6.4 percent), Rocky 5,483 units (3.3 percent), Luxio 2,388 units (1.5 percent), and Sirion 495 units (0.3 percent).
"Hopefully this positive achievement can continue to motivate us in providing the best offers and services to customers," added Mulyono.
In the last ten months, retail sales in the national automotive market have reached around 825 thousand units, a slight increase of 0.4 percent compared to the same period last year which reached 822 thousand units.
