Mardiono: Age Is Not Benchmark Ukur Choosing Leaders
Plt Chairman of PPP Muhamad Mardiono said that age is not a benchmark in choosing a leader, but is measured by the ability to answer the challenges of the Indonesian nation in the future.
The leader we need to answer the nation's challenges that are already in sight. Soon our population will reach 300 million people and 60 percent will be millennials," said Mardiono, while attending the PPP legislative candidate briefing event throughout Indonesia, in Jakarta, Saturday.
The growing population of Indonesia, according to Mardiono, demands various facilities. So that young people can hone their skills optimally.
"This is a big challenge, we must prepare facilities so that our children who live a productive life. For example, educational facilities, health facilities, housing facilities, as well as job facilities," he said.
He said that in the future, Indonesian leaders must be able to prepare competitive human resources to smooth the achievement of demographic bonuses.
"When these facilities are not prepared, of course it will be productivity but those that tend to be negative," said Mardiono,
