Don't Worry About Getting Sick At IKN, 3 Hospitals Will Be Established In The Capital Of The Republic Of Indonesia To Replace Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) said that three leading international standard hospitals (RS) will stand in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said the hospital that was built in the IKN area, namely Abdi Waluyo Hospital.

According to him, President Joko Widodo has inaugurated the construction of the RS with an investment value of IDR 2 trillion in September 2023.

Nadia conveyed that the second hospital whose construction began to be carried out at IKN, namely Mayapada Hospital Nusantara.

President Jokowi accompanied by Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin inaugurated the construction of the hospital on Wednesday, November 1.

Nadia added that the Ministry of Health will also build an international standard vertical hospital in IKN.

"The Ministry of Health plans to also build a vertical hospital in IKN, currently in the process of making designs," he said.

He said the construction of the hospital is targeted to be completed in 2024 and can be used to provide health services to the community in the IKN area.

"The existence of these hospitals is expected to make it easier for people to access complete health services at IKN," he said.

"With the increasing number and quality of health services at IKN, public access to plenary health services is getting closer," he added.

Nadia stated that residents are expected not to go abroad anymore to undergo treatment because quality health service facilities are also available domestically.
