Jokowi: IKN Prepares Superior Quality Schools
PENAJAM PASER UTARA - the capital city of Indonesia's new country named Nusantara which was built in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, namely in Sapaku District, preparing superior quality schools.
President Joko Widodo stated that the preparation of superior quality schools in the city of Nusantara by increasing the 020 State Elementary School (revitalization) in Sepaku District to have better quality.
The revitalization of SD Negeri 020, which is precisely in Bumi Harapan Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, was carried out directly by Astra through the Astra-Michael D. Ruslim Education Foundation (YPA-MDR).
"We appreciate the YPA-MDR who went directly to revitalize schools to improve the quality of education," said President Jokowi after inaugurating the start of the work on improving SD Negeri 020 in Sepaku District as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 1.
"Improving SD Negeri 020 Sepaku Subdistrict is expected to become a superior, intelligent, and sustainable school," added Astra Director Gita Tiffani Boer, thus accelerating the quality elementary school education ecosystem of the City of Nusantara.
The concept of revitalization of SD Negeri 020 District includes green open space, equipped with science laboratories, computer laboratories and digital libraries, also equipped with sports facilities to support the physical and intellectual development of students.
Then the roof design of the 020 State Elementary School building in Sepaku District adopted from the form of the Lamin Traditional House, a characteristic of East Kalimantan house.

The increase in SD Negeri 020 in Sepaku District is to provide a class learning environment equipped with the latest energy-efficient technology, according to Gita Tiffani Boer, as well as facilities that encourage the development of holistics and academic advantages.
Not only SD Negeri 020, added the Chairman of the YPA-MDR Management Gunawan Salim, but the YPA-MDR will also rehabilitate 11 elementary schools, two junior high schools and two vocational schools in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency.
"Until now, we have carried out the construction of 136 schools in eight provinces and 15 districts in Indonesia," he said.
"Astra through YPA-MDR also provides character building, academics, life skills and cultural arts, which are applied through training, the main focus of coaching in improving the professional competence of teachers as teachers and educators," said Gunawan Salim.
