The Bawaslu Group Almost Drowned In The Waters Of The Sessionoli If Not Rescued By The Red Devils' Speedboat
Ternate Basarnas rescued speedboat Al Fatih A7 passengers who were reported to have drowned while on their way from Sessionoli to Ternate.
Quoting Antara, Head of Basarnas Ternate Fathur Rahman said, after receiving a report at 17.10 WIT, Tuesday, October 31, the Basarnas team headed to the location of the speedboat sinking incident.
The passengers, consisting of five people and two crew members, turned out to be a group of the Ternate Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), one of whom served as Bawaslu Secretary.
Fathur explained, the chronology began with the speedboat Al Fatih A7 experiencing a leak and sinking in the waters of Sessionoli, North Maluku, on Tuesday, October 31, at around 16.45 WIT. The victims then asked for SAR assistance.

The Red Devils' Basarnas speedboat team who was passing at the scene then responded to SAR assistance after receiving information from the Ternate KSOP. Evacuation went smoothly, all victims were declared safe.
All victims were at the speed port of the Al-Munawar Ternate Grand Mosque at 17.45 WIT. They then returned to their respective homes.
Previously, Basarnas Ternate also managed to evacuate a speedboat with a engine failure in the middle of the trip and was swept into the waters of Sessionoli.
The speedboat departed from Sofifi to Ternate, while on the way there was an engine failure.
