Vice President Ma'ruf Reminded ASN To Be Neutral In The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin emphasized that state civil servants must be able to be neutral in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

"ASN must be neutral, security officers must also be neutral," said the Vice President in a press statement on the sidelines of the activity of reviewing Posyandu Dahlia I in Thehok Village, South Jambi District, Jambi, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 31.

In addition to neutrality from ASN, said the Vice President, holding elections must also be carried out honestly and fairly so that fraud does not occur in the process, which can have an impact on potential conflicts in society.

"Of course, I as vice president voiced many times so that elections were held in an honest way," said the Vice President.

Vice President Ma'ruf also appealed to all relevant parties and the community to jointly support the peaceful, honest, and fair election so that the results obtained will bring benefits to the Indonesian nation.

"Well, we will continue to encourage it," the vice president urged.

Sebelumnya, Presiden Joko Widodo juga menyampaikan pentingnya netralitas ASN dalam mengawal pemilu.

This was conveyed by the President when giving directions to regional heads at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (30/10).

"I ask you not to take sides. That's seen, be careful, ladies and gentlemen, look. It's very easy, you can see that you are on your side or on your side. Krik, already. And also make sure that ASN is neutral," said the President.

"Maintain harmony at the lower level. Immediately resolve it if there are sparks related to politics, finish them well," said President Jokowi.
