Jokowi And Political Styles Secretlyyuss

JAKARTA President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) carried out a political maneuver that made many people shake their heads. Politics secretly sweeping Jokowi's style is claimed to make PDIP dizzy seven around.

Entering the political year, a number of figures made surprising decisions. One of the most highlighted this year is Jokowi's maneuver. How not, the former Mayor of Surakarta is considered brave to fight the PDIP tradition so that his relationship with Megawati Soekarnoputri is reportedly heating up.

PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri has always emphasized that Jokowi is a party official. The public also concluded that Jokowi must submit to the party that is his political vehicle, even though he is the number one person in Indonesia.

The public certainly remembers very well when Jokowi was labeled the 'party officer' by Megawati ahead of the 2014 Presidential Election (Pilpres). At that time, Jokowi, who was still the governor of DKI Jakarta, was elected as a presidential candidate from PDIP.

"Pak Jokowi, you don't make it a presidential candidate, but you are a party official who must carry out party duties," said Megawati at the PDIP DPP office, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, May 14, 2014.

Jokowi did not deny his status as a party official, but he made sure that this would not affect his performance in the government. But Megawati's words certainly provoked strong reactions from various parties. The daughter of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno is considered to have underestimated Jokowi.

Long story short, the Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla pair managed to get 53.15 percent of the vote, beating the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa duo which won 46.85 percent of the vote.

Jokowi returned to the seat of the Republic of Indonesia 1 for the second time after defeating Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno in the 2019 presidential election.

But despite winning the presidential election twice in a row, Megawati was reluctant to release the title of 'party officer' that she had pinned to Jokowi.

Megawati was judged to have again humiliated Jokowi in January, to be precise during the 50th anniversary of the PDIP. In front of thousands of party cadres bearing the symbol of the white-nosed bull, Megawati said, "Mr. Jokowi is like that, you know, doing things. Yes, even though Mr. Jokowi, if there is no PDI-P either, I'm sorry."

Megawati's words were responded to by Jokowi's thin smile, which sat in the front row. But he did not applaud, like any other cadre.

According to Political Observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia Andriadi Achmad, Megawati and PDIP showed political arrogance by calling Jokowi a party official.

"The party officials' phrases demean the position of president, leader of a country. PDIP and Megawati demean Jokowi as president. This is Megawati's political arrogance," Andriadi told VOI.

However, after nine years of stamping party officials attached to Jokowi, the former governor of DKI Jakarta was seen starting to fight PDIP. Jokowi's political steps were considered brave to deal with a Megawati, even though she was indeed marked by a series of controversies.

The signal that Jokowi is ready to fight PDIP was seen when he approved the closeness of his eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, with the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto.

And the peak was when Gibran finally accepted the proposal of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) to become a candidate for vice president, accompanying Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election.

The entry of Gibran, who in fact is a PDIP cadre, to Prabowo's side is considered an open war between Jokowi and Megawati's camp.

Andriadi said that Jokowi wanted to prove that he, who was once referred to as a party official, is now a political controller in the country.

"Manuver politik Jokowi bagu ini, dia memberikan pernyataan benar ini PDIP tidak perlu Jokowi? Ia ini secara-siluh menyuyutkan," Andriadi menjelaskan.

Jokowi wants to prove that he can. It is not impossible that Jokowi will compete with PDIP and there will be a head-to-head with Megawati.

If it is pulled back, Jokowi has actually 'prepare' his retirement by getting his family in strategic positions. Starting from Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was elected Mayor of Surakarta. Then followed by his son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, who became Mayor of Medan.

This year, Jokowi's steps became clearer by entrusting Kaesang Pangarep to PSI and Gibran finally advanced as Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate from KIM.

Jokowi wants his son to have a strategic position after he stepped down as president, Andriadi said again.
