Facilitating 6 Companies At ITAP 2023, The Ministry Of Industry Wants Indonesian Manufacturing To Be Known To The World

The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) facilitated six manufacturing industry companies to appear in the 6th Asia Pacific (ITAP) Industrial Transformation which was held at the Singapore Expo on 18-20 October 2023.

The six companies are the Unmanned System & Technology Association (ASTTA), PT Bentara Tabang Nusantara (BETA), CV AMX UAV Technologies, PT Stechoq Robotika Indonesia, PT Diametral Involute, and PT Lanius Innovation Indonesia.

The prestigious international exhibition was organized by Constellar with International partner Deutsche Messe which focuses on three main dimensions, namely sustainability, optimization of manufacturing efficiency, and resilience of supply ranges.

The Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics (ILMATE) of the Ministry of Industry, Taufiek Bawazier, said that the ITAP 2023 event was a place to promote and demonstrate Indonesia's capabilities, especially in the manufacturing industry sector in carrying out the Making Indonesia 4.0 program.

"In this event, we brought six companies, and displayed industrial acceleration services 4.0 for the manufacturing sector in Indonesia through the Indonesian Digital Industry Center 4.0 (PIDI 4.0)," said Taufiek in a written statement in Jakarta, Monday, October 23.

Taufiek said, the manufacturing industry is still the main driver in national economic growth. This is reflected in the consistency of the non-oil and gas processing industry which contributed 16.30 percent with a growth value of 4.56 percent in the second quarter of 2023.

"In addition to participating in the exhibition, Indonesia also participated in the Innovation Stage Forum which was opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore Suryo Pratomo accompanied by the Secretary of the Directorate General of ILMATE at the Ministry of Industry Yan Sibarang Tandiele, as well as the Secretary of the Directorate General of Resilience, Region and Access of International Industry (KPAII) of the Ministry of Industry Jonni Afrizon.

On the same occasion, KPAII Sesditjen Jonni Afrizon said that the presence of the Ministry of Industry at the ITAP 2023 event also aims to introduce a transformation journey in the application of industry 4.0 in Indonesia while increasing market access and domestic industrial business networks with the global industry, especially in the Asia Pacific region.

"Indonesia's participation in this event is very important in establishing an industrial ecosystem 4.0. With Indonesia's participation, it is hoped that we can welcome the potential for collaboration with various international partners, both in the form of investment, human resource development, R&D, and other areas of cooperation in the Asia Pacific Region," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Directorate General of ILMATE at the Ministry of Industry Yan Sibarang Tandiele said, facilitating the participation of the national industry in ITAP 2023 is one of the programs initiated by the Ministry of Industry to support one of the targets in the 2020-2024 RPJMN according to Presidential Regulation Number 18 of 2020, namely the contribution of exports of high-tech industrial products which is targeted to reach 13 percent by 2024.

Yan assessed that the strategy to increase exports of goods and services in the manufacturing industry sector needs to be supported by the revitalization of the processing industry which encourages the diversification of non-commodity export products, especially high-tech manufacturing products.

He hopes that Indonesia's participation in ITAP 2023 can increase the growth of the ILMATE sector, which in the second quarter of 2023 reached 12.16 percent with a contribution of 4.19 percent to the national GDP or 24.19 percent to the GDP of the non-oil and gas industry.

"Promotion of the ability of ILMATE products in the international arena is expected to maintain the growth of the ILMATE sector which has survived double digits since the third quarter of 2022," he concluded.
