Bank Permata Gandeng Japan Airlines Holds Travel Fair, Aims For Credit Transaction Growth Of 30 Percent

JAKARTA - PT Bank Permata Tbk (Bank Permata) collaborated with Japan Airlines to hold a Permata Bank x Japan Airlines Travel Fair at Atrium 2 GF, Lippo Mall Puri, West Jakarta. The event began on October 20-22, 2023.

"Today is a special momentum because for the first time Permata Bank is holding a single airline travel fair together with one of the world's best airlines in Japan Airlines," said Bank Permata's Senior Vice President of the Head Corporate Communication Division Glenn Ranti at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, October 20.

Glenn said significant improvements in travel over the past year have shown airlines make long trips not just for travel and a refresher moment, but also a lifestyle and a necessity.

"Therefore, Permata Bank and Japan Airlines present a travel fair which will start today as a form of solution to provide meaningful products and services in responding to the needs of customers and the people of Indonesia," he said.

He also said that the travel exhibition contributed to the growth of Permata Bank credit card transactions. "We can say from the travel fair it's around 20-30 percent," Glenn said.

According to Glenn, the value of credit card transactions that occur during travel fair is usually relatively large, and can occur in a relatively short period of time, or an average of only 3 days of travel fair events.

"Basically, transactions using credit cards are mostly made on daily transactions, such as shopping for daily necessities," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Permata Bank itself has held travel fair twice throughout 2023. Previously, Permata Bank also conducted a fair trip together with Air Asia.

Permata Bank sees that travel fair can provide answers to people's needs for holidays.

In addition to travel fair, Permata Bank also held a cosmetic exhibition in order to encourage credit card transactions and savings products.
