U-17 World Cup Spectators Are Prohibited From Parking At JIS
Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the spectators of the U-17 World Cup which will be held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) could not park their vehicles at the stadium parking location.
Although the DKI Provincial Government is increasing the parking lot around JIS, this place is not intended for spectator vehicles.
"The fire is as planned for the JIS area only for official players, while the officers on the western side of the JIS are (rest) ITF," Syafrin told reporters, Thursday, October 19.
Thus, spectators of the upcoming November U-17 World Cup can park their vehicles in East Ancol and JIExpo Kemayoran. Later, the DKI Provincial Government will prepare a shuttle bus to JIS from Kemayoran and there will be a pedestrian bridge from Ancol.
"Transjakarta will always operate corridor 14 or park around Senen, at Senen station or at Atrium, up corridor 14 from Senen to West Sunter directly. Or KRL, they are from Kota or Kampung Bandan or Tanjung Priok, later we will prepare (shuttle)," he explained.
Meanwhile, currently JIS improvements for preparations for the U-17 World Cup have reached 95 percent. Then, the construction of JPO from Ancol to JIS has reached 85 percent.

The U-17 World Cup is scheduled to take place in four stadiums in Indonesia, namely JIS, Si Jalak Harupat Stadium Bandung, Manahan Stadium Solo, and Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium Surabaya from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
JIS will be used as a venue for Group C (Brazil, England, Iran, New Caledonia) and E (France, South Korea, United States, Burkina Faso) matches.
In addition to the group stage, JIS will also be used for two last 16 matches and two quarter-final matches. Therefore, the Indonesian chance to play at this venue is open if it can go to the knockout round.
