Vero Launches Rover, Artificial Intelligence-Based PR Agency
JAKARTA - Vero, a leading communications consulting firm in Southeast Asia, officially launched the artificial intelligence-based PR agency (AI), Rover on Wednesday, October 18.
Operating with Vero's existing offices in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, Rover will serve as an incubator for brand campaigns, and assist in the work process for new and existing clients using AI technology.
The new agency will also build partnerships with other stakeholders that also focus on using AI in the PR industry, including AI-based applications, trade groups, nonprofit organizations, academics, and think leaders.
Rover will be led by Founding VPs Skylar Thwe and Hong Phuc Ngo, and will launch along with an experienced practitioner team, consisting of consultants, creatives, planners, media relations specialists, editors, strategists, data analysts, and media buying practitioners.
"We believe that establishing an AI agency dedicated and built from the start is the best step to accelerate our learning and allow us to share knowledge with our colleagues and clients," Skylar said in a statement.
Rover will provide various PR and creative services for clients from various sectors by utilizing AI-based devices to increase efficiency in workflows, improve the quality of digital content, and present more accurate work results.
In addition, Rover will offer AI consulting services and AI literacy training to brands that want to integrate the best AI practices in their organization and internal communication and marketing teams.
According to Hong Phuc Ngo, currently it is not only AI technology that is getting more mature, but many brands also use AI to increase human creativity to tell bigger and bolder stories.

"Therefore, the PR and communication agency must have a strong understanding of AI to support their clients on this trip," Hong said.
Rover will take advantage of a variety of AI-based devices such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Firefly to accelerate and automate content creation in various media formats, including text, images, 3D videos, animation, voice synthesis, and music.
In addition, Rover is equipped with audience analysis devices and analysis of consumer sentiment that can break wide datasets into segments that can be used as a basis for action to perfect media presentations, messages, and communication plans for Rover clients.
The AI-based method implemented by Rover will also support collaboration with better influencers, more efficient marketing strategies, more accurate trend identification, and more in-depth customer experience.
