Toyota Officials Sign The Return Of The Celica Model
Toyota Celica is one of the models that has helped raise the name of manufacturers in the global automotive industry. Presented since 1970, this model has been loved by many automotive enthusiasts thanks to its impressive design and performance.
So loved, lovers and automotive fans from various circles felt lost when this car ended its production period in 2006. However, it seems that Celica lovers will smile when they hear this news.
Akio Toyoda, as Chairman of Toyota, gave a signal regarding the return of this car in the automotive industry. However, he did not want to reveal further information regarding the model he would present in the future.
"But, I don't know what name to get out of the car," Toyoda said.
Even though he currently has a higher position, Toyoda says Celica's return is not a certainty. What's more, there are some parties who will reject the plan.
"I think it's a good idea to be a product-centric company and be able to have such discussions in order to make a better car," Toyoda said.
Again, news about the return of this model is still a mere rumor. However, this Japanese manufacturer has succeeded in returning its iconic car to the world automotive stage. For example, Toyota gave birth to Supra several years ago.
