Supported By Projo To Become A Presidential Candidate In 2024, Prabowo: I Am United With Jokowi

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto received support from Projo volunteers to become a presidential candidate (candidate) in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. The Presidential Decree of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition also emphasized that he wholeheartedly unites with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "I am wholeheartedly united with Mr. Jokowi, not half-hearted," said Prabowo during the declaration of Projo support in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Saturday, October 14.

It is known, Prabowo stated that he joined Jokowi's government shortly after being inaugurated as president of the Republic of Indonesia. In fact, Prabowo is Jokowi's rival in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections.

Prabowo ensured that his unity with Jokowi was a attitude he took consistently, not just an ordinary sweet promise.

"Not in front of others, behind others. I am not someone like that, in front of the muji-muji, behind the hangout. We have to leave that kind of thing behind," said Prabowo.

"Don't think our people are stupid, don't think our people don't know who is joking, who today says A, says B, the day after tomorrow says C," he added.

Previously, Projo volunteers officially declared support for Prabowo as a presidential candidate in 2024. The declaration was made after Projo received Jokowi's direction at the VI National Working Meeting at the Indonesia Arena GBK, Senayan, Jakarta, today.

"We Projo have agreed to support Mr. Prabowo Subianto as a candidate for president of the Republic of Indonesia in the upcoming 2024 presidential election," said Chairman of Projo Budi Arie in Kertanegara, Saturday, October 14. The Minister of Communication and Information said that Projo had concluded President Jokowi's directive regarding the criteria for presidential candidates that must be supported in the upcoming presidential election. The directive, said Budi, led to the figure of the defense minister.

"And he (Jokowi) has conveyed several things, including his follow-up criteria. We from Projo conclude that the candidate in question is Mr. Prabowo Subianto," said Budi Arie.

As is known, Jokowi in his speech mentioned the criteria for future leaders. Namely those who work a lot and don't talk much. As well as leaders who have clear tactical vision, are brave and have great guts, dare to face pressure from big countries.

In addition, Jokowi said that leaders for Indonesia must not give up easily and not be afraid, let alone resign just because of the pressure, said Arie, as if he wanted to put pressure on his presidential candidate.
