Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week 2024 Targets Transactions Of IDR 39 Billion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) together with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) held the 2024 Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW).
This event is targeted to pocket a transaction of 2.5 million US dollars or equivalent to Rp39 billion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp15,600 per dollar).
The exhibition will be held from 19 to 21 October 2023 at Hall 9 ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten.
Director of the Development of Jasa Exports and Creative Products of the Ministry of Trade, Miftah Farid, said that his party hoped that transactions would not only occur at the time of the exhibition. But also after the exhibition is over.
"For the adhoc, in the short term, at JMFW October there is a transaction, the target is 2.5 million US dollars," he said at the Ministry of Trade, Jakarta, Thursday, October 12.
He said the theme raised at this exhibition was to show Indonesia Excellence.
This exhibition only features quality products.
Miftah said, there are around 150 domestic fashion designers who will participate in the JMFW 2024 exhibition.
He said, not only displaying fashion but cosmetics and accessories that will be brought in more than 200 brands.
"All from Indonesia. JMFW 2024 is back to Trade Expo Indonesia 100 percent Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade Didi Sumedi said JMFW would focus on strengthening the fashion ecosystem in Indonesia.
"The spirit of implementing JMFW is focused on strengthening the fashion ecosystem," he said.
Didi said, the rapid population of millennial Muslims affects the trend of Indonesian fashion, especially modest fashion.
Didi said this modest fashion development was also supported by potential wealth and local wisdom.
"It is also supported by the high concern for the environment and social sectors owned by creative industry players in the country," said Didi.
