Breaking Through The Courtroom Approaching The Judge, Lukas Enembe's Family With Hands Soaring That The Verdict Is Still Read
JAKARTA - A man wearing a plaid shirt, who claimed to be a representative of the family of the inactive Papuan Governor, Lukas Enembe, suddenly raised his hand, stood up from the chair of the court audience, and almost broke through the sterile area of the trial.
He did this after the Panel of Judges at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) decided not to read the verdict and beat the defendant Lukas Enembe because of the health condition in question.
"Don't enter, sir," said Chief Justice Rianto Adam Pontoh, prohibiting the man concerned from entering the sterile area of the trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 9.
Pontoh reminded that the defendant's family, Lukas Enembe, could convey the desired things through legal advisors in order to maintain court order.
Pontoh explained that the panel of judges understood the contents of the defendant's family. However, the reading of the verdict was attended by the defendant as much as possible, as stipulated in the trial procedure law. Then, legal adviser Lukas Enembe, Petrus Bala Pattyona, approached the man.
"The panel of judges is actually ready to read out today's verdict, if the defendant is indeed ready to attend the trial and hear the verdict. Therefore, because the defendant's current situation is sick, the panel of judges cannot read out the verdict today. Please be patient," said Pontoh.

During the trial, the panel of judges was originally scheduled to schedule the reading of the verdict against Lukas Enembe in the case of alleged bribery and gratification. The verdict against Lukas Enembebatal was read out and the panel of judges determined the verdict for considering the health condition of Lukas Enembe.
"Today's trial cannot be continued for the reading of the verdict and the panel of judges only read out the decision for the defendant while waiting for a report from the KPK public prosecutor for the next trial, while looking at the defendant's health development," said Pontoh.
Meanwhile, Petrus Bala said that the family of the defendant Lukas Enembe hoped and asked for the verdict against the inactive governor of Papua to still be read out during the trial at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court, Monday.
"Indeed, there is a request from the family so that the verdict can be read out today, but previously we have also conveyed that according to the law, according to Article 196 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the reading of the verdict must be attended by the defendant; but in terms of humanity, the family also wants the end of this trial quickly. This is indeed a dilemma for us, "explained Petrus.
According to Petrus, Lukas Enembe's health condition has decreased due to a brain hemorrhage on the left, so it is necessary to observe. Lukas, continued Petrus, is currently being treated in the stroke unit of the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto.
"Indeed, humanitarianly, the family wants that the end of this process quickly; but we both understand that this trial also has rules according to (Article) 196 of the Criminal Procedure Code," said Petrus.
Lukas Enembe was absent from trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, because he was being treated at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital due to his declining health condition after falling in the bathroom of the KPK Detention Center (Rutan), Jakarta, on Friday (6/10).
