KPK Summons Muhammad Hatta Regarding Allegations Of Corruption At The Ministry Of Agriculture
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) Muhammad Hatta. He was examined as a witness today, Monday, October 9. "The investigative team scheduled the summons and examination of witnesses," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, October 9. Ali said that Hatta had now undergone an examination. He was already present at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. As for this case, Hatta is said to be a suspect along with former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo and Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono. Even so, the anti-corruption commission still closed its third legal status. Previously, the KPK has raised the status of investigation into allegations of corruption in the Ministry of Agriculture to investigation. In investigating this case, the anti-corruption commission has conducted a search. At the official residence of Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo investigators found money worth Rp30 billion consisting of rupiah denominations and foreign currencies as well as firearms. Then, searches were continued at the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture. As a result, documents related to the corruption case were found. Most recently, investigators also visited Hatta's house in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. From the forced effort, Rp400 million was found.
