Visiting the Inacraft Exhibition, Ganjar Pranowo: MSMEs and Craftsmen Must Be Accompanied
JAKARTA - Ganjar Pranowo sees the potential that exists in craftsmen and MSMEs who are involved in weaving and crafts. Because of the great potential, he hopes that the government can provide attention and capital assistance.
Ganjar Pranowo said he regularly participates in the Inacraft exhibition every year. According to him, many Indonesian MSME products are no less great than foreign products. In fact, many people are in demand and have become the favorite of the world community.
"I have always come to the Inacraft exhibition since I became a member of the DPR. And every year it is always busy. This is proof of how cool our MSME products are. So we must continue to encourage our MSME products to continue to grow and be able to rise in class," he explained.
Ganjar continued, the role of the government is very important to make this happen. Apart from training, mentoring and access to capital, one thing the government must do is teach marketing in the digital era.
"We have to encourage them to sell online so they can penetrate the world market. We are attacking the world market with our products. Apart from that, we also have to protect them, make it easier to manage their Intellectual Property Rights and others," he concluded.
While serving as Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, initiated a program to help MSMEs, by promoting their merchandise for free at Lapak Ganjar. Not only for Central Java MSMEs, but also throughout Indonesia.
The Lapak Ganjar program provides the opportunity for selected MSME players to promote their products via the Instagram Story account @ganjar_pranowo. The Lapak Ganjar program started on July 11 2020 and is still ongoing today, with a different MSME product theme each week.
Greeted Enthusiastically
MSME players and visitors to the Inacraft exhibition at JCC Jakarta were surprised by the arrival of the 2024 presidential candidate, Ganjar Pranowo, Saturday 7 October. Ganjar, who came with his wife, immediately became a hot topic for thousands of people there to take photos with.
MSME players from all over Indonesia who took part in the Inacraft exhibition were very enthusiastic about introducing their products to Ganjar. They scrambled to pull Ganjar to their respective stands to introduce their flagship products.
"Mr. Ganjar stopped by, sir, we are from NTT, sir. Stopped by Papua, sir, there are lots of interesting products. Cirebon Batik, sir, please choose. Stop by Sidoarjo, sir," shouted the MSME players at Inacraft.
Ganjar Pranowo and his wife patiently served the MSME players who enthusiastically invited them to visit the stand. Ganjar also bought several interesting MSME products, for example lurik cloth, batik shirts, wallets, sandals and others.
"Thank you very much Mr. Ganjar, thank you for advancing Indonesian MSMEs," said Syanaz, one of the MSME actors who took part in the exhibition.
Syanaz said that while leading Central Java, Ganjar really cared about MSMEs. Ganjar always helps MSME players, trains, assists and makes it easier to access capital.
"Mr Ganjar even helped with sales through LapakGanjar, which really helped MSMEs in Central Java and throughout Indonesia," said the owner of the Rorokenes brand.
