Two Cianjur Thieves Were Attacked By Residents In Sukabumi When They Stole From A Chicken Warehouse
SUKABUMI – Two Cianjur residents were attacked by a mob in Sukaraja District, Sukabumi, West Java after they were caught committing theft, Thursday, September 28.
Personnel from the Sukaraja Police, Sukabumi City Resort, said that the two perpetrators were caught during a theft at a warehouse for making chicken coops.
"These two young men from Gekbrong, Cianjur Regency became the target of residents because they were caught stealing goods from a warehouse for making chicken coops in Sukaraja District," said Sukaraja Police Chief Commissioner Dedi Suryadi, quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 28.
According to Dedi, the incident started when the two perpetrators S (23) and R (25) entered the chicken coop warehouse by climbing the chicken coop door in Cigadog Village, Margaluyu Village.
After entering the chicken coop construction project, the perpetrator then took a number of items such as batteries, a metal cutting machine and several other items.

However, when they were in action they were discovered by security forces who then shouted at them and provoked residents to come. After being caught by the mob, these two young men became targets for a while. Luckily, it wasn't long before Sukaraja Police personnel arrived who immediately evacuated the suspected thieves to the Sukaraja Police Headquarters.
"We are still developing this case and examining the two suspects to reveal whether S and R also committed theft elsewhere," he added.
Dedi said that from the confessions of the two suspects, they were determined to carry out the theft because of economic motives, but his party did not want to quickly believe it and suspected that this was not the first time S and R had committed this action.
Investigators charged the two young men with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning Aggravated Theft, which carries a minimum prison sentence of four months and a maximum.
