Indonesia Stays In The Eightth Position Of The 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games Medal Standings
JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent is stuck in eighth position in the standings for the 2023 Asian Games, Hangzhou, China medals, as reported by the official website, Wednesday (27/9/23) at 23.50 WIB.
Indonesia occupies the eighth position with 12 medals divided by three gold, two silver, and seven bronze. This number increased by one in total medals which were reported on Wednesday evening at 18.00 WIB.
One additional medal, namely the bronze medal, was obtained from the women's 52 kilograms (kg) wushu sport, which was presented by Tharisa Dea Florentina.
Tariqa, who lost to Iranian athlete Elaheh Mansoryan Samiroumi in the semifinal match at the Xiaoshan Guali Sports Center, Hangzhou, was entitled to a bronze medal together.
Tariqa won a bronze medal with Kazakh athleteatural Tursyn Kazakhstan who also lost in the semifinals against the host athlete, Yueyao Li.
This result makes wushu a contributor to the most medals for the Red and White for the time being with four medals (one gold, one silver, two bronze) together with the shooting sport with the same gain (two gold and two bronze).

The wushu sport will also be confirmed to get a minimum silver medal on Thursday (28/9) after the men's 65 kg sanda athlete Samuel Marbun confirmed himself to the final to fight athlete Iram Afshin Salimi Toupghara.
Meanwhile, there was a change in the standings for the 2023 Asian Games quarterly 10 medals where Thailand, which originally lived in seventh place on Wednesday at 18.00 WIB, rose two levels to fifth by shifting Hong Kong and India, after getting two additional medals, namely gold medals and silver medals.
For the top position, China added four gold, four silver, and three bronze. This addition makes the home team even stronger in first place with a total of 140 medals.
