After Taking The Sandals That Fell, A 7-year-old Boy In Pejaten Drowned, Two Days Later He Was Found Dead

JAKARTA The missing boy with the initials F (7) drowned in the Ciliwung River in the East Pejaten area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, was finally found after 2 days of searching by the South Jakarta Gulkarmat team, Thursday, September 20.

It was previously reported that F, a 7-year-old boy, was reported missing in Ciliwung River on Tuesday afternoon, September 19, at around 18.00 WIB.

Head of Sector IV of Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. said victim F was found when his body was caught in a pile of garbage.

"The position of finding the victim's body was caught in a banana gedebong (tree trunk)," said Suhudi when confirmed, Thursday, September 21.

Suhadi explained that the incident occurred when F played with 10 of his friends on the side of the river. Then, continued Suhudi, the victim's sandals fell. Not wanting to lose his footwear, F chased and tried to take it.

Unfortunately, F slipped until he finally fell into the brown river. Because the current was quite heavy and deep, F disappeared.

"The sandals fell in the river, continued to be chased to the middle until they finally drowned," said Suhudi.

The joint SAR team began searching on Tuesday night. Search efforts on the first day until Wednesday, September 20, at night, were full of results.

"Officers followed the flow and land to the Pasar Minggu bridge with a combined SAR. Until finally F's body was found at the Manggarai Sluice Gate today, at around 11.20 am in a state of death," he closed.
