101 Houses Of Residents 3 Villages In Subulussalam Aceh Damaged By Puting Beliung

JAKARTA - A total of 101 houses were damaged by a tornado that hit a village or gapong in Simpang Kiri District, Subulussalam City, Aceh Province, Tuesday 19 September afternoon.

The Head of the Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBA) Ilyas said the tornado occurred in three villages in Simpang Kiri District, namely Gampong Suka Makmur, Lae Oram, and Subulussalam.

Based on a press statement from the BPBA Disaster Management Operations Control Center, it was confiscated from Antara, Wednesday, September 20, in addition to causing damage to residents' houses, this disaster also damaged one school building and two prayer rooms.

It was reported that the tornado had an impact on 61 families consisting of 112 people in Gampong Suka Makmur, 39 families consisting of 195 people in Gampong Lae Oram, and one family consisting of five people in Gampong Subulussalam.

"The refugees are still being collected," said Ilyas, adding that there were no casualties in the disaster incident.

He said that the Subulussalam City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) coordinated with gampong officials in recording the impact of tornadoes in the Simpang Kiri District.
