IKN Authority Proposes Additional Budget Of IDR 3.15 Trillion To Banggar DPR

The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (IKN) submitted a proposal for an Additional Budget (ABT) 2024 to the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI with a total of IDR 3.15 trillion, or a significant increase compared to the previous budget allocation which was only IDR 434 billion.

"If we look at all of these things, we still need several things that are not included in the Rp434 billion budget that we conveyed," said Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono during a working meeting with Banggar DPR, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 19.

Bambang explained that the proposed additional expenditure budget has a specific allocation for various fields, including the IKN Authority Secretariat with a budget of IDR 182.86 billion for the payment of allowances for 350 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) IKN.

Next, Rp2.11 trillion will be used by the Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure for IKN infrastructure development.

According to Bambang, there is no allocation for the construction of flat towers for ASN IKN, as well as operational housing maintenance for previous construction workers.

Furthermore, the Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation will use a budget of IDR 466.64 billion for digital development.

"Indonesia is a smart city, because if we want it to start with everything digital, of course there are things that we also want to propose here for the system, for equipment, and so on, so that later all services in Indonesia will start with services like a smart city, like that," said Bambang.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources uses a budget of IDR 387.6 billion for the development of the environmental sector as an anticipation of natural disasters.

If there is later, for example, forest fire control, and so on. And also re-refundation, reforestation from several areas that we did program to become Kalimantan tropical forests," he explained.

This is the basis for the IKN Authority to apply for an additional budget, even though the initial budget already includes a number of aspects.

Through ABT 2024's proposal, the Nusantara Capital area is expected to continue to develop as a center for sustainable green and digital transformation, as well as play a role in environmental protection and natural resources. This budget increase is expected to help realize the vision and mission of the IKN Authority for a better future.
