Surabaya Police Arrest Youth Save 12,600 Ecstasy Pills Worth IDR 33 Billion
Surabaya Police arrested a man from Surabaya with the initials AB, who was caught keeping 12,600 ecstasy pills and a pocket of 2.30 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Suspect AB is known to be a drug dealer from the Java Sumatra network.
"In total, we have secured 12,600 pills," said Deputy Head of Narcotics Investigation at the Surabaya Police, Kompol Fadillah Langko at the Surabaya Police Headquarters, Monday, September 18.
Suspect AB was arrested by the police at his residence in Tambak Wedi, Surabaya. During the search, it was proven that AB kept 48 plastic clips containing pink ecstasy pills with pictures of cat legs, and 78 plastic clips containing blue ecstasy pills bearing transformers logos. "The arrest of AB is the result of development from the disclosure of the previous case," he said.
Based on AB's confession, said Fadil, the illicit goods were obtained from a person named M who is currently still a fugitive. Then the pills were circulated in the Surabaya area with a mine system.
"Actually, there are a total of 20 thousand ecstasy pills, but some of them have been sold to buyers in the Surabaya mine system," he said.

According to Fadil, AB served as a courier delivering buyers' orders with a mine system. If converted into rupiah, he said, the thousands of ecstasy pills reached Rp33 billion.
"Well, AB has received a salary of up to now of Rp. 15 million. The mode is that he received orders from his superiors, brother M, he took his mines, he marketed them with mines at a location that had been determined by brother M," he said.
As a result of his actions, suspect AB was suspected of being from 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 112 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics. He was threatened with imprisonment of at least six years and a maximum of life.
