Case Of Motorcycle Accident Against Truck Collision In Lenteng Agung Ends Peacefully
JAKARTA - The traffic accident case involving seven motorists against the direction with a truck on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, ended peacefully. The police said the truck driver who was the victim decided to withdraw the report.
"It's already RJ, restorative justice," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Thursday, September 14.
However, it was not detailed about the time for the withdrawal of the report, including the reason for the truck driver. Latif only said that even though the investigation into the traffic accident case was stopped, the motorists who went against the direction were still being dealt with.
"The driver who violated it was done a fine, the report has been withdrawn," he said.
Meanwhile, Wadirlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Doni Hermawan said that his party did have the authority to continue the process of handling the case. However, because the traffic accident was categorized lightly, it was decided to stop the investigation.
"We cannot force the parties involved, the victims to continue to force further processing. If later the victims want to continue with the trial later, there is an RJ room there," said Doni.
