Two Years After Transfer, Farmers Field Production Block Rokan Reaches 10,000 BOPD
PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) recorded additional oil production from the Farmers' Field in Bengkalis Regency which managed to reach a production figure of 10,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).
This figure is an increase after the management of the Rokan Block from Chevron to Pertamina.
EVP Upstream Bussines Edwil Suzandi said, since the transfer of management of the Rokan Working Area (WK) two years ago, oil production in the Rokan WK Farmers' field has increased from 4,000 BOPD to 10,000 BOPD.
"This increase in production is the result of a campaign to drill SLO development packages to Optimize Stage-1 Field-Lapangan Development (OPLL) as well as a maintained based production reduction rate," Edwil told the media quoted Monday, September 11.
Edwil said, a total of 51 of the 61 development package wells had been completed and produced.
Meanwhile, the rest of the other wells have been drilled at the end of 2023 to early 2024 with the support of 3 to 4 drilling rigs with a capacity of 750 horsepower (HP).
"This success is supported by harmonious collaboration between the Asset Development, Operation, Facility, Drilling and Completion teams, Land, Corporate Secretary, and other teams involved either directly or indirectly in supporting this massive drilling activity," said Edwil.
Just so you know, the Farmer's Square is one of the oil and gas fields in the Rokan WK which still has great potential.
PHR continues to campaign for drilling and is currently in maturation and submission of an OPL package for Farmers Stage 2, where drilling executions will begin in 2024.
"The success in the development package for 2022-2023 is expected to be forwarded to the Stage-2 Farmers' OPL development package with the support of internal and external stakeholders as well as collaboration between teams," he concluded.
