Police Name 3 Oplosan Alcohol Suspects Who Killed 4 People In Jayapura
JAYAPURA - Investigators of the Jayapura City Police Narcotics Unit, Papua, named three suspects in the case of the death of four local residents for consuming adulterated liquor on Saturday (2/9).
The three suspects, each with the initials SR (37 and DC Yalias PW (30), both of them are husband and wife, and another initials FSM (31).
"The three of them were named suspects in the adulterated alcoholic beverage case that killed four people," said Jayapura City Police Chief Kombes Viktor Mackbon, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 7.
He explained that the case was revealed after four of the 11 residents of Dok IX, Jayapura City, reportedly died after consuming adulterated liquor mixed with 96 percent alcohol. The mixed liquor was mixed by the suspect FSM.
From the police investigation, it was revealed that the FSM-19 mixed liquor was given to the couple SR and PW. Furthermore, by the couple, the adulterated liquor was given to residents to be consumed.

A total of 11 residents were reported to have consumed the adulterated liquor from Friday (1/9) night to Saturday (2/9). However, on Sunday (3/9) morning, they began to feel the effect of the adulterated liquor, namely shortness of breath and dark eyes. They were then taken by the family to the hospital.
"Arriving at the Jayapura Hospital, four people were reported dead. One person was treated at the Marthen Indey Hospital and six other people were allowed to go home and are outpatient," said the Police Chief.
The four residents who died each had the initials YW (42), AM (35), KlB (38), and YB (43).
