Acting Governor Of South Sulawesi Emphasizes Priority Prevention-Handling Of Child Violence Cases

Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Bahtiar Bahharuddin paid special attention to cases of violence against children in the early days serving as regional leaders during the transition period in the province.

Bahtiar Baharuddin was present at the Coordination Meeting for Supervision of Prevention Efforts, Rehabilitation of Cases of Violence against Children held by the Office of Empowerment of Child Protection, Population Control and KB Sulawesi in Makassar, Thursday, September 7.

"This is a matter of children, so there is a need for education and efforts to prevent violence against children because they are the nation's follow-up generation," he said, quoted by ANTARA.

He gave serious attention to cases of violence against children in South Sulawesi which are increasingly rampant, so according to him, prevention must be taken from an early age. Especially tactical and concrete steps to minimize acts of violence against children.

Bahtiar emphasized that collaboration between the executive and the legislature is very necessary so that it can have a good impact through regulations on child protection to reduce the number of violence.
