The Ministry Of PUPR Starts Auction On The Landside Of VVIP Airport At IKN In October 2023

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has the task of building a runway side of VVIP Airport in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the work project would soon be auctioned off in October 2023.

"(Starting the auction) this October," said Basuki when met by reporters at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 30.

Basuki said that later the projects to be carried out would include the construction of runways, toll access, and taxiways.

"For the construction of VVIP Airport, it is assigned to the Ministry of PUPR and the Ministry of Transportation, for assignments. PUPR makes the air runway side, so the runway construction (runway), toll access, to the connecting runway (taxiway). That is the air runway side," he said.

He added that later the entire design for the construction of the VVIP Airport will come from the Ministry of Transportation.

"The Ministry of Transportation has built the terminal, but all the designs are from the Ministry of Transportation," he concluded.

For your information, IKN VVIP Airport will be used to serve the interests of government activities at IKN. Built with a VVIP terminal area of 2,000 square meters and a VIP terminal of 5,000 square meters, as well as a runway of 3000 x 485 meters.

This airport is about 25 kilometers (km) from Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan, and about 107 km from Samarinda Airport. The funding for the construction and operation of VVIP Airport is sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
