Budiman Sudjatmiko Reveals Algorithm Hill Progress, Slow Running Or Stalled?

Budiman emphasized that the Algorithm Hill project is still ongoing. This also dismissed the news of the stalled project which was predicted to be Indonesia's "Silicon Valley".

"It's still running. It's still not as fast as we imagined. But it's still running and there's no cheap money from the state budget," Budiman said in a YouTube show, quoted by VOI.

"Why did we collect it? because we faced an era of industrial revolution 4.0," Budiman said when he told VOI about the initial idea of Algorithm Hill at the end of June 2021.

He added, in the previous three industrial revolutions, Indonesia was almost just an object or still a consumer.

The reason is, at that time Indonesia was still in the Dutch colonial period. In the third industrial revolution of the 1950s when computers and digital technology were introduced, several countries that did not appear in the era of the previous industrial revolution began to emerge, such as India and China. The industrial revolution has an impact on economic growth.

In the era of industrial revolution 4.0, technological developments have intensified and the use of good tools through digital engineering, biological engineering, atomic engineering has increasingly affected world civilization. It seems that Indonesia also has no signs of being in front of this 4th industrial revolution. Even though the government has planned to anticipate that.

The government also cannot do this alone, the private sector must also take part. We are here to help the government to appear in front.

We gathered young people to anticipate that. Indonesia has capable human resources. At that time there were parties who had similar ideas. They have 888 hectares of land that will be handed over to us to be managed and become a place for human resources to conduct innovation research, especially in three fields; digital engineering, atomic engineering and biological engineering," said Budiman.

"We will invite our people who are educated by the state to go home and devote their knowledge in the country. We will create the ecosystem needed by them," continued Budiman.

Algorithm Hill will accommodate those who have studied up to a doctor to work here.
