Elderly Killer In Tebet Arrested, Perpetrator Threatened With Death Penalty
JAKARTA After killing his neighbor, Edy Rinaldi (39) was arrested in the Bogor area, West Java. Edy killed Mat Yusuf (61), his neighbor because he was hurt by the victim's wife, Haryati (43) on Jalan Gang Perintis, Kebon Baru, South Jakarta.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro confirmed the arrest. According to Bintoro, the perpetrator was arrested on Monday, August 28, at night in Bogor.
"Alhamdulillah, on Monday, last night at half past twelve. We arrested the person concerned in the Bogor area," Bintoro told reporters, Tuesday, August 29.
Bintoro explained that the basis for the crime was because the perpetrator was hurt by Haryati's words, the victim's wife, for collecting debts with unpleasant words according to him.
"The victim is a married couple (couple), where the reason behind this persecution is the result of conveying words from the victim's wife to the perpetrator," he said.
"What offends and conveys in public. The object is the debt problem of approximately 2 million rupiahs," he continued.
The suspect has been named a suspect. Edy Rinaldi will be charged with Article 340 in conjunction with Article 338 in conjunction with Article 351 paragraph 4 with a maximum threat of the death penalty.

The head of the local RT, Ahmad Satiri, told the chronology of the stabbing of the perpetrators of the husband and wife. Ahmad explained that at that time the perpetrator was waiting in front of the victim's house with a knife wrapped in plastic, Saturday, August 26, evening.
At that time, the perpetrator monitored the situation around him while taking advantage of the final football match of the Indonesian national team. Local residents who witnessed the match did not suspect the perpetrator. Not long after, Edy immediately entered the victim's house.

Not long after, residents heard hysterical screams. Curious to know what happened, residents approached the source of the sound that was known to come from inside the victim's house. Because it was locked, residents entered the victim's yard in a crowd.
"They screamed, the residents heard "What is there?", the residents entered the yard. From the window, when they saw the husband and wife fighting, it turned out that someone else was in the house," said Ahmad.
One of the residents saw a wound on MY neck. Then after the incident, the perpetrator came out of the victim's house.
"The perpetrator came out, the resident was bullied "do you want to interfere too?", said Ahmad imitating the perpetrator's words.
The perpetrator ran away running. The witness saw Edy throwing a knife in the ditch.
"Yes, he ran away walking. His knife was thrown in a ditch. Someone saw him throw the knife. He was taken and then given to the police," he explained.
H finally got out of the house covered in blood. The survivors were finally taken to the hospital.
"The wife was taken to the sub-district hospital and then taken to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati," he concluded.
