Large Truck Mobility Will Be Regulated In Tangerang So It Will Not Disturb The ASEAN Summit

The Tangerang City Government of Banten will regulate the mobility of large tonnage trucks carrying building materials in the PIK 2 area so as not to interfere with the implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT) in Jakarta on 5-7 September 2023.

"We will coordinate later, how to anticipate it will not interfere with mobility in, from, and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said Tangerang Mayor Arief R Wismansyah quoting Antara.

He said the Tangerang City Government would coordinate with the Tangerang Regency Government and also the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to handle the large tonnage trucks.

In essence, Tangerang City is ready to welcome guests from various countries who will attend conferences in the nation's capital, especially Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the Tangerang City area.

"We are ready to support and assist the central government for the success of the upcoming ASEAN Summit," he said.

The mayor also explained that he had attended a meeting with the Acting Governor of Banten, Al Muktabar and was chaired by the Secretary of the Minister of State Secretary, Setya Utama, regarding the ASEAN 43rd Summit in Jakarta on September 5-7, 2023.

"The Tangerang City Government is ready to support the ASEAN Summit," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang City Transportation Service, Achmad Suhaely, added that the supervision of the tonnage truck continues to be carried out by officers together with the Police and the TNI.

A number of lanes that are often traversed by tonnage trucks have been alerted by officers. This is so that trucks can pass at the set time.
