Since August 21, 2023, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has deployed 100 personnel of surveillance officials and environmental impact control to six locations, namely Marunda, Cakung, Kelapa Gading, Pulo Gadung, Bekasi, and Karawang.

The largest source of air pollution in Jabodetabek currently comes from motorized vehicles. "The efficiency of motor vehicle emission tests is already available in around 400 workshops in DKI Jakarta. The workshops are already available with certification and are directly connected to the existing systems in DKI Jakarta and KLHK," said Sigit.
