Mario Dandy Disappointed Prosecutors Demand 12 Years: Don't Consider Easing Things
JAKARTA - The defendant Mario Dandy Satriyo admitted that he was disappointed when he heard that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged him with 12 years in prison.
According to him, in deciding the charges, the prosecutor did not consider mitigating matters for him.
"I express my disappointment over the demands of the public prosecutor who prosecuted with a maximum sentence without considering any mitigating reasons," Mario said while reading out the plea at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, August 22.
Rafael Alun Trisambodo's son argued that there were many mitigating factors for him that should be considered, for example, that he had never encountered legal problems.
Thus, Mario asked the panel of judges to provide relief to him. He also assured that he could improve himself.
"At this young age I believe I can still improve myself to be much better by leaving the wrong way of life and turning into a new person to look forward to a better future," he said.
"With full hope, I believe that at this age I can still change my attitude and achieve a better future for my life in the future," continued Mario.

"I never imagined I could do violence that shouldn't have been in the meeting. I really regret that incident. Because basically, there was no intention or plan to commit violence," said Mario.
In this case, Mario Dandy Satriyo was charged with imprisonment for 12 years. Because Mario is considered legally proven and convincingly guilty in the alleged severe assault case against David Ozora.
"(Demanding) Sentencing the defendant Mario Dandy Satriyo alias Dandy to imprisonment for 12 years," said the prosecutor
In addition, Rafael Alun Trisambodo's son is burdened with paying restitution of Rp120 billion. If Mario is unable to pay, then, there is an additional penalty in the form of imprisonment for 7 years
The prosecutor assessed that Mario Dandy Satriyo Dandy's actions had fulfilled the elements of Article 355 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code regarding severe persecution with a plan first.
