Explain, Photo Exhibition Concerns For HIV AIDS Held At Borobudur University

JAKARTA The photo exhibition titled Explain, was held at the University of Borobudur, Jl. Kalimalang, East Jakarta on August 18-20 2023. The main topic of this photo exhibition is HIV AIDS. The photos on display are the work of a senior Indonesian photographer, who is more famous as a sports photo anchor, Tjandra Moh. Amin.

HIV AIDS has again become a hot topic in society, after its spread has increased in the past year. According to data as of June 2022, 519,158 people in Indonesia were exposed to HIV AIDS. More sad, because according to the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) 1,188 people with HIV AIDS are children.

Because of this alarming condition, Borobudur University is collaborating with non-profit organizations engaged in HIV AIDS, Syair. Organization, Production Detection, Linesource held a photo exhibition entitled Explain. In addition to enlivening the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme Continues to Advance for Advanced Indonesia.

In addition to the photo exhibition, a discussion was also held in this event, with the aim of campaigning for the dangers of HIV AIDS and how to avoid it. The public is also invited to be more concerned about people who live with AIDS (ODHA) comedy donation actions.

Tjandra uses well-known Indonesian musicians as the object of his camera shots. There are about 25 photos on display, featuring top Indonesian musicians such as Kaka Slank, Ian Antono, Gix Superglad, Robi Navicula, and many more.

This photo show takes the objects of musicians, because they have been known as a community that is close to a free sex lifestyle and drugs. And indeed not a few of the musicians involved in these activities, even exposed to HIV AIDS, "said Tjandra.

"That's why I invite them to share experiences, tell stories, as well as campaign about the dangers of sex lifestyle, drugs, and rock n'roll. Musicians are role models for young people, and they are also expected to transmit the virus of goodness to the younger generation," said Tjandra again.

According to the plan, the Explain photo exhibition will be held in various cities in Indonesia, as an effort to campaign for concern for the dangers of HIV AIDS.
