Singing ‘Rungkad’ to Entertain The 78th of Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day Participants at the Palace, Putri Ariani Requests Support for Her on AGT

JAKARTA - Singer Putri Ariani performed two songs, namely Melati Suci and Rungkad to entertain participants and invited guests of the Republic of Indonesia's 78th Birthday Ceremony at the Merdeka Palace courtyard, Jakarta, Thursday, August 17.

When performing the song popularized by dangdut singer Happy Asmara, the 17-year-old woman who won the 2014 Indonesia's Got Talent competition made President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana also sway to the music.

Participants and invited guests were also seen taking to the field to dance together with the ceremonial troops during Rungkad.

Putri, who played the piano, also told Jokowi that she would appear in the semifinals of America's Got Talent on September 5 in Los Angeles, United States, or September 6, Indonesian time.

She asked for support from all Indonesian people. "Princess asks for prayers and support from all Indonesian people," Putri said as quoted by ANTARA.

Jokowi also nodded his head as a sign that he gave his blessing to Putri to fight for the talent search event in the United States.
