KPK Receives 1,057 Corruption Reports Until June 2023, DKI Jakarta Most

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were thousands of reports of alleged riots received until June 2023 or Semester I. Most of these reports have been followed up."Of the 1,057 reports, the review process has been completed with a number of 962 reports," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, August 14.Firli detailed that 11 reports were followed up on the external part. Then, there were 83 reports processed internally by the KPK."Clarification of the PLMP Directorate 118 reports and filings of 750 reports," he explained.Furthermore, Firli detailed that DKI Jakarta was the area that received the most complaints of alleged corruption this semester. In total, there were 359 incoming complaints.Then, there were 266 complaints from West Java, 213 reports from East Java, 202 complaints from North Sumatra, and 135 complaints from Central Java."The report includes the Regional Government, Ministries or Institutions, BUMN, BUMD, which are in their respective areas," he explained.It is certain that all these reports will not be ignored. The location of the complaint is used as a map to find corruption-prone points for public complaints.
"The location of this community complaint is then one of the KPK's references in carrying out efforts to eradicate corruption, either through an approach to education, prevention, or prosecution strategies," he concluded.
