Police Endus The Practice Of Opposing Elpiji Gas At The East Lombok Health Center Fire

NTB - Police found indications of the practice of mixing LPG gas following up the investigation of the Teko Village Health Post (Poskesdes) fire in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Arman Asmara Syarifuddin said that his party found these indications from the results of the interrogation of an entrepreneur with the initials WH (41).

"He (WH) admitted to buying 3 kilograms of gas cylinders in stalls. Then it was mixed into 12 kilograms of gas cylinders by a person with the initials KC on the orders of WD's mother from West Sumbawa Regency," said Arman in Mataram, NTB, Friday 11 August, confiscated by Antara.

At the request of WD's mother, he explained, 12 kilograms of gas cylinders made from oplosan were sent to Sumbawa Regency. These business activities run without any legality.

Furthermore, Arman said that his party is still securing WH, who is suspected of being the owner of hundreds of gas cylinders that caught fire in the side yard of the Teko Health Center.

"The Pringgabaya Police Chief and members and the East Lombok Police Inafis team are still conducting investigations to reveal further facts," he said.

Regarding the cause of the Teko Health Center fire that occurred in the early hours of Sunday, August 6, the police have drawn conclusions from the results of the crime scene processing as well as requests for statements from witnesses in the field. The fire occurred as a result of a gas cylinder being run over so that sparks appeared and burned the poskesdes along with hundreds of LPG gas cylinders in the yard.

The existence of the 3 kilograms and 12 kilograms LPG gas cylinders was revealed from the results of the crime scene processing. The police found 240 3 kilogram LPG gas cylinders and 30 12 kilogram LPG gas cylinders charred.

In addition, the police found four 3-kilogram LPG gas cylinders in a broken condition among the piles of burning gas cylinders. The alleged mixing was also corroborated by the findings of gas cylinder regulators who were also burned.
