Gerindra Claims Airlangga Support Prabowo Subianto For Jokowi's Blessing
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, revealed that four parliamentary parties have supported Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
One of them is the Golkar Party which Hashim said received the blessing or permission from President Joko Widodo or Jokowi to support Prabowo Subianto.
"It turned out that they (General Chairperson of Golkar Airlangga Hartarto) stated that they wanted to support Pak Prabowo and Pak Jokowi's permission and blessing. I can say that," said Hashim at the "Fitr Briefing and Consolidation of Prabowo Volunteers" online Thursday, August 10.
Hashim said last week, the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, together with the Secretary General of Golkar Lodewijk F Paulus and the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo met with Prabowo Subianto. According to Hasyim, Golkar has officially supported Prabowo.
"I was present, I did not participate in detailed discussions because of that time. At that time I attended a meeting in another room, but those who came and I shook my hands when I came out and signaled and everyone smiled, Pak Prabowo, Pak Muzani, smiled. Pak Airlangga, Pak Lodewijk and Pak Dito also smiled. Apparently, they stated that they wanted to support Pak Prabowo," said Hashim.
Apart from Golkar, said Hashim, PAN has also supported Prabowo, although it is not yet official. In addition, PKB certainly supports Prabowo Subianto because he is a member of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR). He said PKB was still preparing the Prabowo Subianto vice presidential candidate.
"Then, now those who are already inclined, strongly tend to support Prabowo are PAN. And, what I know is because I am also present, from Golkar," said Hashim.

Apart from the four parliamentary parties, said Hashim, several parties outside parliament also support Prabowo, namely the Crescent Star Party (PBB) which has officially supported Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election. Then, the Gelora Party led by Fahri Hamzah and Anis Matta behind closed doors supports Prabowo, although it has not yet been declared.
"Two parties outside parliament, I heard the Labor Party too, but that has not been confirmed. And PSI, but PSI also has not confirmed it. I think that's it," said Hashim.
