Microsoft Partners With Aptos Labs, Ready To Combine Blockchain Technology With AI?

JAKARTA - Microsoft Corporation, a multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington, has partnered with Aptos Labs, an innovative blockchain platform with Layer 1 approach, founded by a former Facebook employee.

This strategic partnership aims to face industrial challenges by combining blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in order to encourage innovative solutions and expand the capabilities of the Aptos ecosystem.

Through the announcement on August 9, Aptos revealed its plans to take advantage of Microsoft's technology framework to develop new solutions that better unify blockchain and AI, thereby producing a wider variety of potential applications. In an effort to improve network security, Aptos also plans to use a node of validator through the Microsoft Azure platform.

With Microsoft's support, Aptos plans to provide financial service solutions that empower users to develop and launch diverse tools and financial services technologies, including digital tokens such as central bank digital currencies (CBDC) and payment methods. This step was taken to answer market demand and needs.

One of the main features of this partnership is the launch of Aptos Assistant, a smart chatbot designed to help answer questions about the Aptos ecosystem. By presenting this virtual assistant, Aptos has also combined the trend of using AI technology in the crypto ecosystem, which has been implemented by many other companies in the form of smart chatbots.

This partnership also focuses on developing easier user experience in the Web 3 ecosystem. Developers will be able to access tools to create smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) through these chatbots. In addition, this collaboration will revive Aptos' Move programming language to support smart contract development, unit testing, information, and provider specifications. Microsoft technology will be used to strengthen connections between AI and Web3 ecosystems in the future.

Rashmi Misra, General Manager of AI & Emerging Technologies at Microsoft, explains that the combination of AI technology and blockchain has great potential in producing innovative applications.

"The combination between AI and blockchain is one of the most interesting combinations of technology and can generate transformational use cases. By combining Aptos Labs technology with Microsoft Azure Open AI Service capabilities, we aim to democratize blockchain, enabling users to seamlessly join Web3 and innovators to develop new and attractive decentralized applications using AI," said Misra.

The partnership between Aptos Labs and Microsoft is designed to address certain industrial challenges, focusing on solving problems in their respective industries. Mo Shaikh, founder and CEO of Aptos Labs, stressed that the main focus of the two companies is to solve their industrial problems, while noting that AI technology has a significant impact on simplifying various daily tasks.

"The main focus of both of us is solving our respective industrial problems," Shaikh told TechCrunch.
