Neta Auto Collaborates With PT HIM To Build Electric Vehicles In Indonesia
JAKARTA - The automotive brand from China, Neta, has proven its seriousness in exploring the vehicle market in Indonesia. Through PT Neta Auto Indonesia, they have formed a partnership with PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) to assemble electric vehicles in this country.
It is planned that Neta and HIM will start the process of assembling electric vehicles in Indonesia in the second quarter of 2024. This agreement was recorded in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on July 26.
Wang Chengjie, Assistant President Neta Auto and Vice President Neta Overseas, emphasized that cooperation with HIM shows Neta's determination to compete in the Indonesian market by presenting various mainstay models according to the needs of the community.
"By becoming a new player in Indonesia, we want to show our commitment and dedication in providing vehicles that suit the needs of the Indonesian people," Wang said in a statement on Monday, August 7.
However, Neta's involvement does not stop there. They will also cooperate with a number of domestic companies to contribute to the development of the Indonesian automotive industry.
Wang also added that collaboration with HIM is expected to realize Neta's vision and mission, namely to support the use of electric vehicles as the main choice in meeting domestic mobility needs.
"We believe that Indonesia has great potential to embrace electric vehicles as the main solution for daily mobility due to its proven effectiveness and sustainability," said Wang.
Neta's decision to partner with PT HIM is not a coincidence. PT HIM, which has been operating since 1993, is considered to have strong experience in the automotive industry and has become a partner of several leading manufacturers in Indonesia.
As previously reported, Neta will make her debut in the Indonesian market at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The brand, which is affiliated with the Hozon Auto, will introduce itself in Indonesia after successfully presenting its products in various countries.
With the simple theme "Hallo Indonesia, This is Neta," Neta is ready to approach the Indonesian automotive community through GIIAS 2023 and introduce herself as a new participant with high enthusiasm.
At their booth, Neta will feature six car models and will also open a "Neta Corner" to provide knowledge and information about this brand to GIIAS 2023 visitors.

Neta's existence in Indonesia is in line with the company's global plan to expand its market share. Currently, Horon Auto is building a factory facility in Bangkok, Thailand, which is expected to be operational by the end of January 2024.
