Caught Stealing A Motorbike Caretaker Of Ponpes, A Man In Bangkalan Disired Gasoline Almost Enraged By Mobs
BangkaLAN - Bangkalan Police, East Java rescued a young man from the mob when he was arrested by residents for stealing a motorbike belonging to a boarding school caregiver.
"The young man we managed to save from this mob with the initials IB (22) from Tabenah Hamlet, Palanggaran Village, Tanjung Bumi District, Bangkalan Regency," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bangkalan Police AKP Bangkit Dananjaya as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 7.
The young man was almost attacked by the mob when he attempted to steal a motorcycle belonging to the caretaker of a boarding school in Tanjung Bumi.
"The perpetrator entered the yard of the pesantren about to steal a motorbike, but was caught by the students and was later arrested there," he said.
According to him, when the perpetrator's body officer was secured, he was wet because he was doused with gasoline.
Members of the Bangkalan Police who arrived at the scene acted quickly to save IB and reduce the emotions of the masses.
"When caught, the perpetrator fled by jumping over the pesantren fence. An emotional period, had time to water the suspect with gasoline. Luckily the action didn't happen, members arrived on time," said Bangkit.
To investigators, the suspect admitted his actions. Based on the information, there have been 2 crime scenes (TKP) from previous actions.
The first theft of the suspect stole a Yamaha Mio motorbike belonging to his own uncle. The second stole a Vixion motorbike belonging to a resident of Lembung Paseser Village, Ten District.
"There have been several recognized crime scenes, belonging to his own uncle, then to the residents of Lembung Paseser. We are still conducting further investigations on the suspect," explained Bangkit.

The proceeds from the sale of the stolen goods, continued Bangkit, were used by the suspect for fun.
"The stolen proceeds were sold, the money was used for hotel rental fees in the Surabaya area and had fun. It was only when the money ran out that he went home and looked for new prey," he said, explaining.
The police charged the suspect with Article 363 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning theft with a maximum penalty of 9 years in prison.
