Maluku Police Chief Asks The Son Of The Chairman Of The Ambon DPRD For Murder Suspects To Be Charged With Serious Legal Threats
The Maluku Police have dispatched a team to provide assistance and assistance to the Ambon Island and Lease Islands Police in guarding the murder case involving the son of the Ambon DPRD Chairman EllyToisuta, with the initials AT.
"Mr. Kapolda sent a team led by the director of Criminal Investigation to provide assistance and assistance to the Ambon Police Kastreskrim so that the case can be resolved immediately and the perpetrators are punished with the most severe threat," said Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Kombes M. Roem Ohoiratdi Ambon reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 2.
Roem said that until now all evidence and facts continue to be collected by investigators so that the case can be resolved immediately.
"For the age of the victim, based on existing population data and documents, it has been confirmed that the victim is 18 years old. So, it is no longer in the category of children, but it is an adult," he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the news that the suspect with the initials AT was only threatened with a sentence of seven years, Roem emphasized that the investigation process was still ongoing.
Investigations can be developed with existing evidence or evidence for the application of articles with more severe threats.
"Mr. Kapolda has ordered to apply the right article and the most severe threat to suspects, so that cases like this do not happen again in the community," he said.

He said the case had been handled quickly by the Ambon Police. Within 1x24 hours, the perpetrator has been arrested and underwent legal proceedings.
"The handling of the case has only been two days, investigators still have plenty of time to be able to apply additional articles with the heaviest threat for suspects," said Roem.
The son of the chairman of the Ambon DPRD, Elly Toisuta, named Abdi Toisuta, is suspected of molesting a student with the initials RRS until he dies. The suspect AT is now being held at the Ambon Police detention center.
